Dorchester Bowls Club has a reputation for giving a warm and friendly welcome to all visitors as well as past and present members. It is located only eight miles from Dorset's Jurassic Coast. The Club provides an outdoor green which can accommodate up to eight rinks and six indoor rinks.

Formed in 1906 as Dorchester Bowling Club in the Borough Gardens, the Club moved to its present location at the Sandringham Centre in 1990. In 2006 its name was changed to Dorchester Bowls Club and its centenary was marked with a special Celebration Game against the English Bowling Association.

The Club premises include a lounge area served by a well stocked bar and a kitchen together with changing rooms off the bowling hall and first floor meeting rooms. The Club has the use of a large car park.

The Club has an active Junior Section and a Qualified Coaching Squad who are available for both new and improving members. Open Days are held at least twice a year.
