Dorset County Patrons Association

The Dorset County Patrons Association primarily exists to foster greater interest in Bowls Dorset and to provide the opportunity for male and female members of Affiliated Clubs to participate in cross county and out of county matches. Several of these matches are celebratory and special games with clubs and other Associations.
The benefits to Club members in joining the Patrons include the opportunity to meet with like minded members of other Clubs and experience playing in a variety of locations in friendly, but competitive matches. The cost of a shirt is £25 with a yearly subscription of just £3 for the current season, match fees are also £3 per game, which are collected on the day. Some clubs provide a bowler’s tea or just tea and biscuits, there is no extra cost for this. CLICK HERE to see details of our Fixtures for 2024.
On a charitable side, we sometimes help a club or individual financially. We have helped a few Dorset based clubs purchase training equipment for their juniors and we were also able to give several thousand pounds to the Dorset Youth Bowling Academy to help them get started. We have since purchased some hoodies and caps etc for their junior members too.
