Dress Code

Would all competitors please ensure that they comply with Bowl Dorset's Dress Code when playing in the Quarter and Semi Finals of the County's individual Championships and Competitions.

For 4 Bowl Singles, 2 Bowl Singles, Pairs, Triples, Fours, Senior Fours, U24 Singles, U24 Pairs, Benevolent Triples, Cobern Trophy, LUST and Secretaries Cup - the code requires white or Club Registered shirts and white or Club Registered below the waist.

For County Mixed Fours - the code requires white or Club Registered shirts and grey or Club Registered below the waist.

For teams, all bowlers must wear the same (Regulations 6.2 and 6.3).  Failure to comply may result in disqualification (Regulation 6.10).

Bowlers who have not reached 16 years of age on 1st April are permitted to wear a Club’s registered and approved Under 16 kit in the Quarter and Semi Finals (Regulation 6.32).  If a team includes an Under 16 bowler, they may wear such kit but the remainder of the team must comply with the dress code above.

Catering

Bowls Dorset is grateful that our Clubs host Quarter and Semi Finals on a complimentary basis.  Clubs will have tea/coffee, food and bar drinks available to purchase.  All Competitors, Spectators and Officers are asked to respect this and support the Clubs' catering provisions.  If a Club is unable to offer food, Competitors will be advised.

Without such support (particularly where people bring their own food to the Quarter and Semi Final), Clubs' provision of the greens on a complimentary basis will be jeopardised.  This will in turn affect entry fees for future Championships and Competitions.

If anyone has any dietary needs then the relevant Competition Secretary should be informed in advance, as the majority of the Clubs are quite able to cater for these.  If this is not the case, the person will be advised and the Club will be aware.
